Hi baby. Today I got to wake you up. Mom and Dad opened the door for me and I do all the work of walking in, sniffing your bed, and settling into the corner so when you pretend to be sleeping, but actually looking up, you’ll see me. We got to play outside, that was my favorite part of today. You say, “BAAAAAAAA-BAAAAA,” which mom and dad translate as ball, L’s are hard to pronounce, I agree. Usually I just skip consonants, they’re overrated and being a dog it’s all about the vowel sounds when you have to talk loud enough for the dogs one street over to hear you. But, that’s another story. Anyway, yeah, the play times outside was the bestest part of today. I loved when you gave me hugs too, on the bed. I licked your face. That was nice.
I love you Leo,
PS Thank you for reading to me, it helps my knowledge to grow, kind of like in, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.”
It’s Leo. Mommy is typing for me. I wanted to tell you about meeting Rogue tonight. We went to my cousin’s house and played. Their dog is Rogue and he is funny. He liked to walk by me and lick my ears and face. It made me think of you! I said, “Whooo-oooo-woooo,” like I do for a doggy and I missed you. You’re my best friend. I hope you’re having fun with Cousin Daisy. I’ll see you soon.
PS: “Ooooo oooo oooo!” aka “DOGGY!”
Today was a happy day. You came to pick me up at our family’s house! I was so excited to see you. I ran and ran around the yard. I missed you! You threw the softballs and doggie balls for me. I let you pick them up and throw them again for me. I loved it so much! Then we drove home and you laughed and laughed I guess because I was panting. It was hot though! Being a dog in the summer is a hot business! I helped you bathe and now you’re sleeping, so I am sleeping, but mom is writing down what I dictated to her. Anyways, have a good sleep start, see you in our dreams!
Life has been kind of funny for the past couple of days. I have spent time at my cousin Daisy doodle dog’s house, while you and the parents went to Eastern Oregon. I know that you’re not with me, but I miss you and I wonder where you guys are. I especially wonder after I get a whiff of you and think of my lil buddy. Sometimes you’re there in my dreams and I chase after you to go get the ball. You’re the best little tiny human. I hope you’re having fun wherever you are and that I can see you soon. I love you buddy.
Xo Your, Kimmy aka “AAAAA-OOOO-OOOOO” as you say my name with all vowels and no consonants.
Today we had a nice morning walk. I could tell that you had done the #2, but mom couldn’t. Humans have a hard time with their sniffers. That’s why I pulled us home at the end of the walk. It was time for the diaper deal and you needed it. No offense little guy, but sometimes you just need to listen to me. That’s why I jumped right up on the bed to show you where to go when we got upstairs. Mom had me lay down next to you, which is where I was going, she just didn’t realize it.
You had fun in the baby pool thing this afternoon. I was very concerned about why there was an outdoor bathtub. You really wanted me to join you, but here’s the deal: I’m not going to voluntarily go into the pool, that’s like saying yes to a bath. That’s a nope! So I just like to drink the water instead and lay down in the sunshine and pant. You find all of my to-doings quite humorous. I live to serve!
Our grandma and grandpa visited us tonight and I really like to stay close by and guard you. Sometimes I like to get int the middle of a baby grandparent cuddle because I prefer for you to be near me. I know they love us both, but still, you’re my baby brother.
Hello my little brother. Have I told you lately that I love you? Well I do. You’re my puppy brother, no matter how big you get! Today, for the lunchy, you had, wait for it, pause for dramatic effect: PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICH. Oh my goodness. It was amazing. First of all, I got to lick the knife mom used to put the stuff on your bread stuff. Then, I stood guard waiting to lick any of the peanut butters that might have fallen. And fall they did! I licked your fingers, your fork, and then the high chair table and plate when you were finished. It was the best-set lunch ever. Thank you. The end. Well, not really, night night though. You’re a tired baby!
Today the Grandma and Grandpa visited. I sniffed them a lot and watched you because I get the protected feelings for you. High paws!
Today you fell down a two stairs in the house. I was upstairs at the time, but I heard the bump bump sound. Oh you scared me tiny human. I wait for you at the top of the stairs, but you were distracted while carrying a water jug thing and so you almost fell more, but dad caught you. So that was good. Sometimes I think you try to move your body faster than you can move and then you flop flop. I used to do that when I first started climbing the stairs. And to be honest, the stairs scared me, so there’s that fact too. You’re a brave baby. I love you, and I’m glad you had a small bump and not a larger bump.
PPS: Paws, I really like your toes, sometimes I lick them when you’re in the high chair thingy because I can.
Today I accidentally bumped into you when I was excited to go get the ball outside in our yard. Sorry little dude. I didn’t mean to make you fall and whap you into the ground. I felt bad, and that’s why I gave you the ball. Sometimes you make me feel frustrated dog feelings when I have to chase you to get the ball. I mean, come on little guy, just throw the ball. You’re getting to be a really smart human. You even knew where the ball was when we went outside! That would have take me a whole five minutes to have sniffed it out, but nope, not with Leo by my side. You were all, “BAHHHHHH ba-ba-baaaaaaa!” Which we all know means ball.
I love you little guy. Thanks for playing ball with me, even after I bumped into you, sometimes.
When you let me lick your oatmeal banana hands this morning, it made me feel really happy inside. Thanks baby!
This morning I heard you moving around, so I woke mom up.
She was in her sleep zone with a weird thing over her eyes so she couldn’t see me. So I decided to lick her arm instead. It seemed the best bet, you know? Well, sigh, she didn’t get up, so I flopped really loudly down onto the floor, that seemed to work better.
You’re sleeping right now. Your bum is up in the air, your hands are tucked underneath your tummy and you have a big sigh happening from your mouth. I just wanna nuzzle underneath your tummy and snuggle you, but mom said no. So, you’re sleeping without me. I’m going to go sleep now too in the sun by the window. I’ll see you in my dream. OK, night night baby.
When you threw carrots when mom wasn’t looking to me, that was so nice. High paws!
