Dear Leo,
I think it’s Fall season. At least that’s what momma and dada say. It’s a silly name for it, if you ask me. Everything falls down from the trees and bushes and so they call it, fall. That’s not too original, I prefer the term autumn. It sounds a little bit more sophisticated, as most dogs language is. The thing I enjoy about autumn is when the humans rake the leaves into piles and I can run and jump through them. That’s so fun. I can’t wait until we can do that togethers. The nah-ni-nahs aka squirrels are already running in and out of the leaves on the ground and I know you like to watch them be silly.
We had a lot of fun running around in the mud and dirt outside. You have these “boots,” which make you walk funny, kind of like when Auntie and Uncle put booties on my paws. You seemed to get used to it and then you were running after me and throwing the ball. That was pretty fun times. My favorite is when you find the missing ball. You’re really good at locating them. You run over, point, and shout, “BALL!” I am not interested in getting my sniffer covered in cobwebs, so I leave the retrieving part up to momma or dada, until you throw it for me into a spot I am comfortable getting it from. You laughed really hard when I ran through the vegetable box and momma said, “NO KIMMY!” Hehehe, that was a great time baby.
Love you baby, time for our naps!
xo, Kimmy
