Dear Mama,
Hi! It’s Kimmy dog. I’m writing this letter, unbeknownst to you. I thought it would make for a nice surprise. You’re always working so hard to take care of us puppy dogs and I wanted to let you know that I see it all. One of the reasons why I follow you around and give your legs and toes kisses is to remind you of how loved you truly are. You wake up before the light comes, and you go to bed way after the sun has set. I know that you work hard mama. I hope you know that it’s appreciated.
Do you remember when you had LDB in your belly? I used to soothe you to sleep with Bella cat on our bed. It was our job to ease your anxiety and make sure that you knew how special the small moments were, like naps in the middle of the day. I helped with napping when IRB was in your belly too. I enjoyed those naps, even when you smelled like chlorine after your pool classes with Leo. It doesn’t feel like any of that happened so long ago, but it was a while ago. Time is elusive, like how the nighttime creeps up on us and then it’s time for bath, books, and bed. I love you mama.
xo,
Kimmy
