Dear Kimmy,
Hi puppy dog! I’m so glad that we had a chance to take a walk today. It’s been a while since we’ve been able to do that together. For a while there I couldn’t remember a day when we didn’t take at least one, if not more walks. That’s ok though, because I understand that there was smoke in the air and that we couldn’t go outside. I didn’t have to like it, as mama said, but we stayed inside. I came up with other games to entertain us.
One day we had circle time with you and Baby I and our stuffies. We talked to one another about how we were feeling, you groaned, and baby I gurgled a lot of bubbles. Then we sang some songs, I ran around a little bit, and then I joined in to look at some book pictures of the songs we were singing. You left at some point to go smell something, and then we rendezvoused in the family room.
You did a lot of groaning during those eight days inside, as I came to recall. (What do you think of that phrase? Pretty sophisticated huh? I picked that up for myself from mama and dada. Language is fun like that doggy friend. We can say so many things!)
Another game we played was, “Chase Kimmy with the wooden horse that rolls, and my caterpillar with the hat that rolls too!” You liked that game for a few rounds throughout the house, and then you didn’t want to play as much anymore. You ran up the stairs and took a rest on the landing. I’m not quite sure why, but you did. One time, we cuddled together and I gave you the biggest hug and kisses on your couch bed. You stayed for a bit up there with me, I felt warm fuzzy inside. You make me feel all the warm fuzzies in my heart.
xo,
Leo
