Dear Leo,
Today it rained. And rained. And rained. The Californian in me was not pleased. Momma and daddy don’t understand why I don’t like to get my paws wet. I know I am a part lab doggie, but really, who likes to go barefoot in the rain? All the time though. You, on the other hand were over joyed to take me out to do my business this morning. The rain didn’t seem to phase you. Except when you lost your balance and plop plopped onto the wet muddy grass. But even then, you still got yourself up, brushed your hands off, when momma reminded you to, and then wiped them on mommas black pants. She told you to, so it was ok. I tried goosing momma when she was telling me to go potty. She doesn’t always take my hints correctly. You seemed to get it though. You said, “Ba-ba-ba,” aka ball. We went on a ball hunt in the yard. After you found it, you threw it a lot for me. Sometimes I like to fulfill the traditional doggie role and go after the ball, other times I really just prefer to watch you go fetch it. It’s quite fun. Especially if momma helps you. There’s nothing quite like watching your humans fetch!
I love you,
Kimmy
