Two Hundred and Forty Paws

Dear Irving,

Hi there little one. Today I really rallied for you buddy. You were making all sorts of sounds and had lots to say during your later morning sleep session. So this is what I did: I went over to momma and I booped her. Then I walked to her side and I told her that it was time for her to do the momma thing with the milk. I kept standing next to her, but she didn’t get the hint, so I laid down next to her and refused to go outside to do my business until the humans figured it out.

Like I told you, I was rallying for you little guy! Then you fell back asleep and had some more dreams. Both you and your brother do that a lot. To be honest though, I nap frequently as well. You could say that dogs, babies, and toddlers are similar. For one thing, we all spend a lot of time sleeping, eating, and pooping, for another thing, we spend a lot of time on the floor: crawling, walking, and playing around. I’m a very patient sister though, and I don’t bother you when you are on the floor. I learned when Leo was small to not bother the baby when they’re on the mat doing the tummy time business. I will occasionally give you some toe kisses as encouragement though. Speaking of toes, I gotta go lick mine, or I guess mine are called paws though, right? Love you little brother.
