Three Hundred and Nine Paws

Dear Puppy Brothers,

Hi there. As we are all well aware, the rainy season is upon us in the Paw-cific Northwest. Yesterday an atrocity transpired. I stepped in, “My own doggy-doo.” Now, as if this weren’t the worst part of it, mama insisted on filling up a bucket with warm soapy water and then washed my foot and paw thoroughly on the back patio while you looked on LDB. She was quite gentle and reassured me that things are, “Ok, it happens,” I did not feel so great.

Afterwards I stomped around on some towels and was wiped off with them before retiring to my bed. What an ordeal of sorts. I tell you what, this rain and poo business has me plumb tuckered out. I forgot what a messy business it is when it rains and rains and rains outside. Leo, you and mama took off on a long walk puddle splash hunt and I rested on my bed. In some ways I was grateful to sit, lay down, and relax in dream land because of the morning’s trauma. Sometimes when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade and sit tight.
